We believe that engaging the Boston community and having the community’s voice in research projects such as GoFresh is critical to improving health outcomes of persons in the community. We have established an advisory board to help us do so.

Lawrence Vinson GoFresh CAB leader is Vice President of Health Strategies at the American Heart Association with expertise in community health and advocacy.

Ed Gaskin is the founder of Sunday Celebrations, a gourmet food  company in the food as medicine space. He is also the Executive Director of Greater Grove Hall Main Streets. 

Adam Shyevitch MBA, MTS is the Chief Program Officer at About Fresh with expertise in healthcare delivery.

Tiffany J. Marshall is a Certified Zumba instructor and owner of Nectar Lab Boston. She's an alumni of the Boston Renegades Women's Tackle Football team and also a member and leader at Motivation Church
​in Randolph, MA.

Jua Robinson B.A., M.A., M. Div. is the Executive Director of the Boston Collaborative and is a health and nutrition enthusiast. He is also the chaplain for the New England Patriots. Previously he was the founder and Lead Pastor of Heart Change Fellowship, a multi-ethnic church in Boston, MA. 

​Samantha Taylor ​MHA GoFresh CAB leader is the executive director of the Bowdoin Street Health Center with expertise in community health.  

Christine G Sinclair MA, MS, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian with expertise in nutrition intervention research and community-based nutrition.

Sabrina Vixama BS is the Chef and owner of Discover Vegans and is interested in creating plant based/vegan foods for community health.

Ben Perkins MA, MDiv, is the CEO of Wholesome Waves. He has held numerous leadership roles, from community advisory board chair, to founding director of a CDC-funded HIV-prevention and wellness center, to project director for an NIH-funded HIV-prevention feasibility study. 

Joel Richards is a Boston public school teacher, first-generation American, and union organizer. Joel is passionate about workers, renters, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and our Black and POC communities. 

Earlene Avalón PhD, MPH At Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies, Dr. Earlene Avalón is a Teaching Professor and the Program Lead for the Healthcare Administration, Health Science, and Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical programs. Additionally, she directs the Lowell Institute School, supporting STEM-related bachelor’s degree completion programs. Dr. Avalón research focuses on health equity for marginalized populations, emphasizing workforce diversity initiatives and mentoring programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in  chemistry/secondary education, a master’s degree in public health, and a PhD in Health Professions Education.
